About Webinars

In this virtual classroom, participants can join in a seminar led by Poynter faculty and visiting faculty. This screencast includes live audio and a slideshow presentation in which participants can post questions and respond to poll questions posed by the host.

Different audiences live on the various social media platforms, and their expectations for types of content, tone and information can be wildly different. What works for one social media platform often won't work on another, but it's not always easy to figure out what the differences are or when to let go of traditional editing rules.

Learn how to write and edit engaging posts for audiences across different social media platforms by understanding their purposes, identifying your audience and adapting your language and tone for the platform.
